Passed days - By: Peter Lk De Dulin, 12 May 2006
This took me back to Christmas 1967 when I was a temporary postie. What memories! What a superb set. I have bought the five reissues & have been delighted with everyone.
It Is Finally Here! - By: Martin A Hogan, 18 Apr 2006
This latest edition of "Days Of Future Passed" has to be the last, as it is nearly perfect. The Moody Blues have never been keen on keeping old unused material, so what is presented here is very, very good. Now on SACD, the sound is faultless & the mixing is astounding. Besides the first seven tracks of the original, the second CD contains outtake & alternate versions of pre-"Days Of Future Passes" songs & BBC Sessions that are as solid & pure as a studio recording. This is the sound that will keep you mesmerized for years.

Classic Moodies Remastered - By: Drs Alpert Trinh Pa, 17 Apr 2006
I just received this item after seeing a notice that Universal was remastering the first five Moody Blues albums in Sound & Vision magazine. It was noted that these albums will only be released in the U.K. because the so-callled high resolution formats like SACD & DVD-audio were not selling in the U.S. Such a shame because I was only able to obtain these from Amazon UK (at a lower price than Amazon US was offering these). After listening to the surround version I will say that you long time Moody Blues fans will here a remastered version of a classic album. The orchestra will be clearly separated from the band (a good thing) & the bass is more defined. The meticulous studio techniques that this band was known for is evident here. The band sounds fabulous considering these are recordings approaching 40 years old! The second disc offers other versions of selected tracks from the album & that era but make no mistake that the high resolution remastering is what you are paying for. After hearing the different audio improvements we have been offered over time, half-speed mastered to CD & now SACD & DVD-audio, you fans with the proper set up- what are you waiting for? The difference is often amazing.
past days brought into the future - By: B. M. Robinson, 13 Apr 2006
After being a Moody fan for nearly 40 years I thought I had heard it alll then along comes this wonderful compilation. I had never heard the version of Dont let me be misunderstood before & I think the whole reason for buying a duplicate version of an album I already have a few copies of was well worth it just for this track.
