Much as I like Gillian Kearney, she fails to convince in the leading role. As a succession of tradegies befalll her, she remains beaming & gleeful. She seems impervious to everything that is thrown at her. How then can the audience become concerned about her future.

The plot itself lacks any novel ideas. I found the entire production lacklustre, unconvincing & disappointing.

I would not recommend this DVD unless you have run out of alternatives. There are plenty of more interesting films in the Cookson series than this one.
