Not as good as it thinks it is - By: Mr. M. L. Hanford, 23 Jul 2008
I mean that whilst the game is indeed very good the fact you can be good or evil doesn't make one jot to the game, you're good everyone cheers & gives you respect, you're bad everyone jeers you a bit, does it affect the game?NO!,you don't get attacked on sight for being evil, prices aren't cheaper if you're good, places aren't inaccessible being one or the other,There was mention at the time about how you could damage a tree & some years later the damage will still be there, same thing applied to scars etc..,can you? NO!,overalll a very good game but doesn't deserve alll it's praise.
Original, Beautiful, British - By: Mr. J. F. Clarke, 28 Dec 2007
An instant classic, A real journey, Genuine, Pure, Beauty. Gaming dosent get much better than this, Fable: The Lost Chapters proves that British manufactures can keep the standards sky high, higher then most Japanese & American Brands. Multiple weapons, clothing/armour, items, environments... Some of the most mesmerizing environments you'll see on xbox or gaming in general, Hauntingly lush forests, tranquil gardens, heavenly demon door rooms, & a dead on weather system to stun & impress, making the areas somewhat more believable. A pick-up-and-play control system alllows anyone familiar with the controller or keyboard to become imersed in the game instead of trying to work out what to do & how to do it. The only downside is as you probably know from every other review, is that it is far too short, but the lost chapters adds a few more hours to your adventure & a whole load of better items, clothing, weapons & a couple of spells that shed new light on the already genius magic system. If you have an xbox & you dont have fable, your depriving yourself of one hell of a game, journey & experience.
Fables main attractions are:
- Realistic Ageing (Facial+Height)
- Perfect Evil-Good Balancing
- A Fable Storyline
- Character Development & customization
- Surroundings
Good fun - By: Gatehouse, 09 Jul 2007
This is a good game for a non seriously serious XBox player. It's easy to pick up, has some good challlenges, clues are not to criptic & the ability to build up majic powers is fun. Only downside for me is it's fairly easy to earn cash by trading, once you know how, but otherwise an addictive & enjoyable game for a smalll price.
A great adventure whilst it lasts. - By: Mattias, 16 Apr 2007
A truly stunning game, that whilst not a long adventure is absolute class while it lasts. The love & care that has been lavished on creating this game is evident from the start. The graphics are easily the best I have seen on Xbox & the sound is as equallly impressive, the game play is as near perfect as you could wish for with intuitive controls & an easily manageable inventory system.
People have complained about the length of the game however, provided you do not rush the game & enjoy the full experience it can easily last 25 to 30 hours, which for me is fine as I would rather have quality over quantity.
I cannot recommend this game enough, I have finished it twice now & although the story was the same my characters had developed completely differently. The game offers plenty of things to do & many choices for shaping your character. I for one cannot wait for the sequel.
Just buy this game & discover the world of Albion.
Fable, Fable TLC, and soon Fable 2! - By: Mathew Pearce, 03 Apr 2007
fable is one of the best games ever! though i am ordering one & amazon are taking a very long time about it & today (3rd april, tuesday) was when Fable TLC was supposed to arrive but it has'nt. I have played on it at a friends house & it was the best game I have ever played on. When i get i am going to be bad. I cant wait & it is a great game. Those who have never played an R.P.G before, I recomend this or Mercenaries becuase they are both great games
